I have had a very long journey with trying to rehabilitate my foot. Upon making my appointment with Dr. Guehlstorf, I was told to have my xrays, MRI, physical therapy reports FAXED to his office. Dr. Guehlstorf's medical assistant asked if I brought along a disk with my xrays & MRI, I replied that I had my information faxed, she snapped "Did you bring a disk?" Well, how is a new patient to know if the Drs. staff does not relay this information? I had a separate slip of paper attached to my medical forms to let Dr. Guehlstorf know about the many treatments I previously had by 2 Podiatrists and a Physical Therapist. His response to my difficulties with walking for 18 months was to put a little Aspercream on it and wear generic heel lifts. Hmmm, the prescription anti-inflammatory gel and prescription Naproxen did not help; who knew I could solve my pain with over the counter Aspercream! The prescription custom Orthodics from my previous Podiatrist did not help; certainly the generic heel lifts are the magic answer. When I asked if I could have my Handicap Parking renewed from my previous Drs. the reply from Dr. Guehlstorf was, "I only give out Handicap Parking to old ladies in wheelchairs or using walkers." There you have it, Do I have a tear in my Achilles Tendon that would be causing my 18 months of pain???????
