AvailableOn June 6th I was sent home from surgery and told to start using my walker and I could return to work on the 12th. No written instructions for exercises or physical therapy were provided. I explained my pain, advised him I needed assistance (in the form of physical therapy) and a later date to return to work, he was extremely combative and uncooperative. He advised me to take the prescribed pain meds (Oxy and Tramodol) and start walking with my walker. I explained to him that the pain medication made me woozy and nauseous. I further explained the distance I have to go from the front of my building to my work station, there was nothing to prop my leg on and I needed assistance getting into/out of my chair with wheels and assistance going to the bathroom and I wouldn’t be able to perform the tasks of my job on narcotic pain relievers. His response was that was up to my employer to provide what I needed. At no time did Ben ask me to come into his office to look at my knee to determine if there were other factors like fluid or infection. His response was; I’ve done hundreds of these operations with no problem you need to take the drugs and get up and use your walker! So to surmise, this doctor thinks once he put his scalpel to my knee, all was healed and he could not possibly accept any other outcome.
