Recommends Available On Time Friendly Professional Knowledgeable Nice Office Understandable Reachable Helpful StaffI just found this site or would have sent a review years ago. I had surgery in 2007 for resection of perineural sacral cysts also known as Tarlov cysts. This is a tricky surgery that few surgeons will perform. I had an excellent result and recovery from my surgery and I am thankful to Dr. Mendez every day that I have been able to live without the debilitating pain and loss of bladder function that these cysts growing in my sacral nerve roots that were filling with spinal fluid due to a tear in the sheaths protecting the nerves were creating. He was very kind and listened to me and didn't rush me to come to a decision. He fully explained the risks of the surgery and made sure I understood them before agreeing to perform the surgery. I wish there were hundreds more like him wiling to help Tarlov Cyst sufferers. These surgeries are the only hope they have to live life and enjoy it instead of just existing and living in a lot of pain.
